Some projects ask you to design a logo. This one asked us to define what it feels like to live inside a story.
Storyliving by Disney was a new venture, residential communities built on the emotional storytelling Disney has spent a century perfecting. I led the initial brand story and concept as Group Creative Director then as Director of Creative and lead creative teams, helping shape the brand from the ground up and launching Cotino, the flagship community in Palm Springs.
My role was to take something the company had never done before and give it a voice, a look, and a feeling that could carry real weight with real homebuyers. Not a theme park. A place people would actually plant roots.
This was brand-building at the intersection of hospitality, storytelling, and the very personal decision of where someone chooses to live.
Brand development. Built the creative foundation for an entirely new Disney business line. Defined the brand voice, visual identity, and emotional positioning that separated Storyliving from traditional residential developers while keeping it unmistakably Disney.
Style guide and executive pitch. Developed the brand style guide and presented it to senior executives. Translated abstract creative direction into a system the broader organization could understand, approve, and build on.
Cotino launch creative. Led the creative work behind launching Cotino in Palm Springs, the first Storyliving community. Shaped how the community was introduced to the public and to prospective residents.
Video production. Directed and led branded video content that brought the Storyliving promise to life, capturing the lifestyle and emotional payoff of the community rather than just the real estate.
Promotional campaigns. Developed branded email creative and promotional materials to drive interest and nurture prospective homebuyers through the journey from curiosity to commitment.
